Wakanyeja Tiospaye O'Tipi - Children's Village, Inc. currently provides three programs to the families served:
 

Children, Louis and Melvina
Children learn the relationship and terms of the
Lakota Family through "Grandma and Grandpa"

 

Otakuye Program/Relative Care

The Otakuye/Relative Care Program is the basic child care needs which include the physical, emotional, and spiritual well being of the child during their placement.

     

Wa Cante Ognaka/Behold the Heart of the People

Wa Cante Ognaka/Behold the Heart of the People is the family mentoring program. This program is designed to help the families of the children placed at Wakanyeja Tiospaye O'Tipi - Children's Village, Inc.

Wakanyeja Tiospaye O'Tipi - Children's Village, Inc. conducts an annual Christmas Gift Drive and serves 126 families in the Reservation Communities

 

Wakanyeja O'Kola Kiciye/Working Together for Children

Acknowledging the need for a safe home in each of the nine districts of the Pine Ridge Reservation, the need for native foster homes and Indian Child Welfare Act education, we offer our support through reservation wide recruitment, various trainings, cultural events, such as naming and sweat lodge ceremonies, and attendance of reservation group efforts that effect change for our Lakota families.
